About Dr. Muller,

Dr. Muller is a Washington native and graduate of Washington State University, earning a Bachelors of Science in animal sciences and Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. He practiced in Chino, California and Hatch, New Mexico for three years before returning to Sunnyside, Washington where he started his own practice, Cattle Strategies. He also co-founded and managed Ag Health Laboratories, Inc., a milk quality and feed testing laboratory. In 2015 Dr. Muller co-founded The HEALTHSUM Syndicate, a livestock data analytics company for consultants and their clients. In 2019, he and Jon Davis co-founded CYON Livestock Solutions, LLC to network cattlemen and veterinarians, provide animal health products, and herd management services.

Dr. Muller with wife Dr. Tanya Muller and their three daughters, Sophie, Sadie, and Sarah operate TJ Ranch in Prosser, WA, raising registered Braunvieh and Braunvieh-Angus beef cattle. Using an intensive grazing system they raise a combination of seed stock and commercial cows providing finished beef.

Dr. Muller began studying stockmanship skills and training from Mr. Bud Williams and Dr. Tom Noffsinger. He has since developed training videos, and practiced these skills on his cattle, and client dairies and ranches. He then began teaching these skills to client personnel, conducting industry seminars and live demonstrations. He also participated in developing Merck’s Dairy Care 365 training module on good calf and heifer handling.

Dr. Muller believes animal handling skills are critical to ensuring good human-animal interactions and animal health.

About Mr. Davis,

Jon is an experienced sales manager with a demonstrated history of working in the livestock veterinary industry. He is skilled in animal pharmaceuticals, surgical assistance, anesthesiology, dentistry, and animal welfare. Jon is a strong consulting professional with an Integrated Entrepreneurial Management degree focused on Business, Management, Marketing, and Related Support Services from Walla Walla Community College, Clarkston, Washington.

Jon grew up in the little town of Lindsay, raising cattle and farming on the eastern plains of Montana. In 1979, Jon and his wife, Georgiann, bought a ranch south of Terry, Montana where they raised Angus cattle and farmed until 1998. They sold the place and moved to Spokane, Washington where Jon went to work for Lextron Animal Health for 13 years. When Lextron closed their warehouse in Spokane he went to work for MWI Veterinary Supply.

From 2011 to 2019 he worked for one of his former clients, Rustebakke Veterinary Services. During these eight years he developed strong relationships with beef producers, equine enthusiasts, and their pets, throughout Southeast Washington and Northern Idaho. Many of these individuals continue to be customers of CYON.

In 2019 he co-founded CYON Livestock Solutions, with Dr. Fred Muller. With over 35-years in the animal health world Jon has acquired and willingly shares his extensive hands-on knowledge.

About Ms. Ryan,

Sarah was raised in the Palouse Region of Washington state on the Ryan family’s wheat farm and cow-calf ranch. After getting her BS in Animal Science at Washington State University (Go Cougs!) she went to Kansas State University to earn a MS in Animal Sciences & Industry. Not loving the lack of topography and humidity of Kansas she made her way back to the PNW where she worked for Agri Beef Co.

She spent 3.5 years with the El Oro Cattle Feeders team and then transitioned to working in Boise. There, her main duties included: managing the leasing of Wagyu Bulls, herd record management for the pure bred cow herds and related bull sales. After 6.5 years with Agri Beef Co. she had the opportunity to put her Master’s research to work selling ear tags for Allflex USA. Sarah especially enjoyed working with beef and dairy producers to implement EID systems.

Following Allflex, Sarah was the Executive Vice President for the Washington Cattlemen’s Association, a challenging job that resulted in many friendships with cattlemen and women around the state and neighboring states. Most recently, Sarah worked for Boehringer Ingelheim on their beef cattle sales team serving producers vaccine and antibiotic needs in portions of ID, OR, and WA. Sarah joined CYON Livestock Solutions in 2021 where she hopes to become part of your team, taking a wholistic look at your ranch and helping it be successful now and for future generations.
